Welcome to Forge

What Forge is, how the app is laid out, and where to start.

On this page

Forge is a scheduler built around your calendar. People book you from a page that only offers times you are free. The work around a booking, such as enquiries, proposals, contracts and invoices, lives in the same place and shows up on the same calendar.

Your calendar is home

When you open Forge you land on Calendar. Bookings, invoice due dates, proposal deadlines and follow-ups all appear there, beside the calendars you have connected. Most things you do in Forge start from it.

How the app is laid out

The sidebar on the left has everything:

  • Calendar is your week.
  • Scheduling holds Bookings, Event types, Routing, Polls, Availability and Reviews.
  • Forms lists every form people can reach you through.
  • Teams is for booking pages shared between several hosts.
  • Studio holds Messages, Clients, Invoices, Contracts, Proposals, Leads and Companies.
  • Reports shows how bookings and money are going.

At the bottom of the sidebar you will find search, your notifications and your account menu. The account menu has Settings, Take the tour, Help, Email support and Sign out. Help opens this help site in a new tab.

On a phone the sidebar becomes a menu you open from the top bar.

Creating your account

  1. Go to forge.page and choose Start free.
  2. Sign up with Continue with Google, or with your name, email and a password of at least 12 characters.
  3. Tick the box to confirm you are 16 or over and accept the Terms of Service.
  4. If you signed up with email, open the confirmation email and follow the link. The link works for 24 hours. A Google sign-up is confirmed straight away.

You can choose your booking link, such as forge.page/ada, while you sign up or later in Settings → Profile.

The three welcome questions

The first time you sign in, Forge asks what you do, what you want it to look after, and what you are moving from. You can skip any of them.

Your answers only change what you are shown first, such as the order of your setup list and the event type we suggest. They never switch a feature on or off.

The setup list

Set up Forge in the sidebar is a short list of steps. Each one opens the real screen and brings you back when you are done. Get bookable in 15 minutes walks through the first group.

The tour and the examples

  • Take the tour in your account menu is a two-minute walk through the main screens.
  • Lists you have not used yet show one made-up Example at the top, so you can see what goes there. Examples are only shown to you. Nothing in them is real, and each one disappears once you add something of your own. To hide them all, switch off Show examples on empty lists in Settings → Profile.

Your free trial

Every new account starts with everything in Forge for 14 days. You do not need a card. Pick a plan before the trial ends to keep the paid features. If you do nothing, you move to the Free plan and your booking pages stay live. See Plans and billing.
