Scheduling
Routing forms
Ask a few questions first, then send each person to the booking page that fits their answers.
On this page
A routing form sits in front of your booking pages. It asks a few questions, then sends each person to the event type that suits them. A big project goes to a long consultation; a quick question goes to a short call.
You will find it under Scheduling → Routing.
Create a routing form
- Open Routing and choose New form.
- Give it a Form name. Only you see this.
- Add an Intro if you want one. It is shown above the questions.
- Choose Create form.
Add questions
Add up to 20 questions. The types are Short text, Long text, Dropdown (pick one), Checkboxes (pick several), Email and Phone.
The form always finishes by asking for the person's name and email.
Add routes
A route says: when these answers are given, send them here.
- Under Routes, choose Add route.
- Build the condition: pick a question, then is, is not, contains or is any of, then the answer. A route can have up to 5 conditions, and all of them must be true.
- Under Send them to, pick an event type. A team's event type works too.
Routes are checked top to bottom, and the first one that matches wins.
Everyone else is where people go when they match none of your routes. Every form needs one.
Turn it on and share it
- Switch on Taking enquiries.
- Choose Save form.
- Copy the Public link and share it, or embed the form on your website from Forms.
What happens when someone fills it in
- They answer your questions, give their name and email, and choose Continue.
- Forge takes them straight to the right booking page.
- A lead is created with their answers, with Routing form as its source. See Leads.
- When they go on to book one of your own event types, their answers are copied onto the booking.
If the form is switched off, visitors see that it isn't taking enquiries right now.
Delete a form
Choose Delete form. The public link stops working and the questions and routes go with it. This can't be undone.
