# Group polls

> Propose a few times, let people vote without an account, and book the one that works.

A poll finds a time that suits several people. You propose a few times, share one link, and everyone ticks the times they can make. Then you pick the winner and Forge books it.

## Create a poll

1. Open **Polls** and choose **New poll**.
2. Give it a **Title** and, if you like, a **Description**.
3. Choose the **Duration** and the **Location**. Google Meet and Microsoft Teams are offered when that calendar is connected.
4. Under **Time options**, add between 2 and 10 times with **Add a time**.
5. Set **Voting closes**. It can't be later than your last time option.
6. Choose **Create poll**.

## Share it

Open the poll and copy the **Share link**. Send it however you like.

## How people vote

Voters do not need an account.

- They enter their name and tick each time they can make.
- Email is optional. Anyone who leaves one can be sent the invite.
- They can add a photo, which helps you put a face to a name.

## See the responses

The poll's page shows every proposed time against every voter, marked **Yes**, **Maybe** or **No**. Voters who did not leave an email are marked **No email**.

## Pick the time

1. Choose **Pick this time** beside the option you want, or **Book the leading time**.
2. Confirm with **Book it**.

Forge then:

- marks the poll as **Booked**;
- adds the meeting to your calendar, with an invitation to the voters who said yes or maybe and left an email;
- creates a booking for it;
- emails every voter who left an email.

If someone left no email, or an email could not be delivered, Forge tells you who, so you can share the time with them yourself.

## Close or cancel

- **Close poll** stops voting and switches the share link off. You can still pick a winner from a closed poll.
- Voting also stops at the deadline you set.
- If you cancel the meeting that came out of a poll, voters who left an email are told it is off.
