# Get bookable in 15 minutes

> Connect your calendar, set your hours, create something to book and share your link.

Five steps take you from a new account to a page people can book. Each one is on your setup list, so you can also work through them from **Set up Forge** in the sidebar. The list ticks a step off when the real thing exists, so there is nothing to mark as done by hand.

## 1. Connect your calendar

Forge reads your calendar so nobody can book you when you are busy.

1. Open **Settings → Calendars**.
2. Choose **Connect Google Calendar**, **Connect Microsoft 365** or **Connect iCloud / CalDAV**.
3. Follow the sign-in. For iCloud you will need an app-specific password, which takes about two minutes to create.

Your events appear on the Forge calendar once the connection is made. [Connecting your calendars](https://docs.forge.page/connected-calendars) explains what each kind of calendar can do.

## 2. Set your hours

1. Open **Availability**.
2. Switch on the days you work. A new account starts with Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 17:00.
3. Check the **Timezone**. Your hours are set in this timezone, and bookers see times in their own.
4. Save.

Bookers only ever see times inside these hours. More in [Availability](https://docs.forge.page/availability).

## 3. Create something to book

An event type is one thing people can book, such as a 30-minute intro call.

1. Open **Event types** and choose **New event type**.
2. Start from a template or from scratch. The templates are **Discovery call** (30 minutes), **Project kickoff** (60 minutes), **Quick chat** (15 minutes) and **Group workshop** (90 minutes, up to 8 people).
3. Give it a title, check the duration, and choose how the meeting happens.
4. Choose **Create event type**.

More in [Event types and booking links](https://docs.forge.page/event-types).

## 4. Choose your link

Your booking link is forge.page followed by a name you pick, for example forge.page/ada.

1. Open **Settings → Profile**.
2. Fill in **Booking link**. It can be 2 to 40 characters: lowercase letters, numbers and hyphens.
3. Save.

Pick something you are happy to keep. Changing it later breaks any link you have already shared.

## 5. Share your link

- On the calendar, the **Scheduling** section of the sidebar shows your link with a **Copy booking link** button.
- Each event type also has its own link. In **Event types**, open the row's menu and choose **Copy link**.

Paste it into your email signature, your bio or your next reply.

## Check what your clients see

Open your page and book yourself once, using your own email address. You will go through the same steps a client does: **Time**, then **Details**, and a confirmation that says **You're in.** Forge does not count a booking you make with your own address as your first real booking. Cancel it afterwards from the confirmation page or from **Bookings**.

## What happens next

Once your calendar, hours, an event type and a link all exist, we send you one email to say your booking page is live.

The rest of the setup list is optional and waits for you: getting paid, bringing your clients in, and making the page look like yours.
